Pluto tv is too slow
Pluto tv on X1 is too slow to watch. I can watch it on a tv with roku an on a tv with Google tv. Pluto works fine on both of these. But does not work properly through the X1 set top box. Typical of xfinity.

What X1 box do you have? The XG2 (black box with blue/green vertical light bar front right) is EXTREMELY underpowered. Comcast does not write the streaming apps. They just offer a platform for developers to write for. But, there is nothing they can do if it's underpowered. It's like trying to tow a 30ft trailer with a vintage VW Beetle.

There isn't much you can do other than see if you can get a better cable box. The XG1v4 is reasonably fast, but VERY hard to get these days. Otherwise, just use the cable box as a cable box and use either a built-in SmartTV app or an external device like a Roku or FireTV for streaming.
