Peacock

I cannot sign in to the Peacock website or on my TV app with my Xfinity User ID and Password. It will not accept them--error message every time. I was forced to create a new account that I don't want as it is not Premium--wants $4.99 for it though it is in my plan.

Have tried 'Help' suggestions--do not work.  Forced to watch through the Flex on Xfinity box, but it takes forever to get there.  I have tried signing out and then trying to sign in with my Xfinity login--but I get error messages. What is going with Xfinity and Peacock?

when you register on the X1 it needs your account's email address and the menu will let you set a password.

I don't know what you mean by 'register on Xfinity'?  I am registered on the box already. I have an Xfinity User ID and password.

But on my smart tv, when I tried to install the peacock app, it would not accept my Xfinity User ID and Password--just got error messages.

I've googled it--it is a widespread issue and nobody at either Comcast or Peacock seems to understand the issue. Peacock Support tells you to either create a new email or a new password--which I then have to change on all devices--because Peacock can't fix the technical issues. They are making it way too difficult to watch--just not worth the hassle.

As long as you have a peacock account you do not have to create a separate account to view streams.

I too had the same problem; it's attributed to comcast/xfinity blocking ports to said service and although they claim the service is free to xFinity internet customers they want you to pay monthly for a separate box, because they want control over your viewing.  To watch Peacock I had to get a VPN provider to gain access to watch streams, but now they have put a lockdown on that too.

Funny thing I can watch Peacock streams through my phone or any hotels I go to while traveling on business and most of these hotels are not xfinity/comcast customers with my same peacock account.
