Peacock Closed Captioning

Does anyone know how to increase the closed captioning font size while watching Peacock on TV? The font size change used to be the same size as on regular TV until sometime in May or June. Now the font size is extremely small and there doesn't seem to be a way to change that in the Peacock streaming settings for TV.

Hello @user_01702b. To change closed captions on Peacock, follow these steps;

Go to the player menu

Select Audio & Subtitles

Scroll to the bottom of the settings menu

Change the text size

@XfinityWilliam I need instructions for the TV NOT a tablet, laptop, or cell phone. The instructions you gave don't work for the TV because there is no "player menu."

@user_01702b Please look for the speech bubble in the lower-left corner of the screen.

There is no option in the subtitles and audio bubble to change the font size WHEN YOU ARE viewing Peacock on the TV.  Even if you change it on your account on the website it does not change on the TV. Please help.

72AHS, Give this a try, and let me know if you still need assistance.

To increase the closed captioning font size while watching Peacock on TV, follow these steps:
Press and hold the microphone (Mic) button on the Xfinity Voice Remote and say "accessibility."
Toggle Closed Captioning to **On**.
Select **Custom** in the **Closed Captioning Style** field to choose your own font size.
Adjust the font size to your preference (small to extra large) along with background and window styling options.
Press **Exit** when finished and change the channel for the changes to take effect.

@72AHS Not one person was able to resolve this: not xfinity and not Peacock. I went back and forth with xfinity and many emails with Peacock and none of their instructions worked. Absolutely frustrating and ridiculous!

It's just a shame that there doesn't seem to be any way to make the CC larger when watching Peacock on Xfinity X1.

It almost seems like the recommendations above were not proofed on an actual TV, watching COMCAST / Xfinity (Cable Box).

@user_mbi2t7 Yes, I agree. Also, apologies for the redundancy, I posted a response to user 72AHS that not one person was able to resolve this: not xfinity and not Peacock. I went back and forth with xfinity and many emails with Peacock and none of their instructions worked. This is truly frustrating and ridiculous that no one was able to assist me/us with this issue.

@user_01702b I am sorry for how your experience has made you feel. Have you reviewed the link: https://www.peacocktv.com/help/article/what-accessibility-features-are-available-on-peacock ? Closed captioning can be customized to provide different sizing, font, and color options on your account settings page.
