Pausing a recorded program only last 10 mins for records shows!? Is there a setting to edit to extend the pause for longer???

I can't find anything in the settings to edit this option. For example, I'll be watching a recorded show (from the DVR/saved section), pause it, but then 10 minutes later it closes my paused recorded show & goes back to live TV (to the last Live Channel I had on), which I didn't want to watch in the 1st place. Is there any way that the pause option for RECORDED shows can be extended from 10 mins to like 30 mins (like most other boxes & apps already do)??? It's really annoying that so many other people ask this Q & complain about this on these forums, but it seems that the Xfinity CSR's responding are clueless about this feature (similar to the Q&A thread I read in the link I copied below, right before writing mine own Q thread here) & the CSR's don't seem to ever care about our concerns to escalate them, or even respond with any valid answers. It's frustrating, & I'd really appreciate some straight answers.

Hi, satin2lar! At this time, we don't have a setting to change the amount of time the show is paused before it resumes to live TV. You should be able to press the back arrow to view the most recent program you were watching, select Resume, and you will be able to restart the DVR recording right where you left off. I hope that helps!

@XfinityBiancaB thank you for the suggestion...and yes, I already knew how to do that. I was just hoping to reach someone who can push this idea to someone higher up that can actually take this change request into consideration seriously, as it is a valid complaint from many customers...not just me.

This should never happen. It should stay paused on a recorded program forever - like U-verse does.

This is an absolute step backwards. Let's say I record the football game using my Xinity box. I start to watch the recording and step away. After 10 minutes the box will resume playing whatever was being played live last. In this case the game I am recording. I have now seen events happening in the game much later than I intended thus ruining the ability to watch them later. When will this be fixed? Make watching recorded sports worthless on Xfinity. The only way to prevent "spoiling" the outcome is to ensure you change the channel from what is being recorded.  Major suckiness!!

I agree with everyone here. If Comcast/Xfinity knows people are complaining about it… change the user experience and allow for it!  Easy to put in an update and push to the DVRs. SUPER FRUSTRATING!

Another in agreement with everyone else. Just allow us to pause indefinitely like directv! There's a screensaver waiting for a purpose.

Please do what everyone is asking for! Pause limit of 10 minutes kicks us out of programs numerous times each week. It's jarring, unpleasant, and inconvenient.

This option would be wonderful. The menu is so clunky and frustrating. I started using the microphone only because of how delayed the menu responses are. I’m losing my mind with two toddlers over here. I can’t even count the amount of times we’ve paused to get one kid to sleep only to have live tv come on and wake them back up. We watch as much of our shows on apps so we’re don’t have to deal with clunky Xfinity equipment.

Greetings! Appreciate you taking the time to reach out to us. I was hoping to ask a few questions to get a little more information on this situation. Are you watching a recording in progress with the DVR engaged or would these be stored recordings you are attempting to pause for longer than the 10 min period? Thank you very much for getting us in the loop to help.

if it's on the dvr, mine will stay paused indefinitely.

cloud dvr, a different story. it treats it like 'on demand'. it will time out and go to live TV

@R.Vicini i don't have an option to place it on the DVR box locally. Only option for my home boxes is the cloud dvr.

@satin2lar So that’s why it times out and goes to live TV. Cloud DVR does that. You need to get a real DVR.
These Xfinity Employees on here are useless. I mean, come on. You’d think that they would have mentioned this.
Their customer service may suck, but I do love their service over the competition. So I deal with it.
I hope this help you. And I’m so sorry it took you 5 months to get your answer.
