Paramount + On Xfinity Is Horrible

Only have this issue from our Xfinity cable boxes. Extremely slow to load and navigate, shows constantly buffering. All other streaming apps do not have any issues and Paramount + works fine from our computers.

Thank you for reaching out to us over Xfinity Forums @user_1c8bc7. Welcome to the community! I can’t imagine the headache you must be feeling from this. I understand the disappointment when an app is not working probably. This is a known issue. Our back teams have been working on a solution ASAP. It seems to be only certain cable box models.

Our team would be happy to try some basic troubleshooting and/or get you a new cable box. I would need to gather some personal information from you. We can circle back to around to the public forum after the issue has been resolved.

Can you send us a private message with your full name, name of account holder (if different) and service address? To send a private message, please click the chat icon next to the bell in the upper right corner. Click the “notepad and pen” button. Send the full message to our shared support handle “Xfinity Support”. We look forward to hearing from you!

@XfinityAnna  this has nothing to do with getting a new box. The navigation through many of the apps through the X1 box is slow and clunky. It's frustrating and while having that app on X1 is better than NOT having it. there is still miles of improvement for it to be considered a 5-star experience

Thank you for clarifying. How long have you had your current device?

Streaming women’s Concocaf Soccer Championship through Xfinity and it’s froze 3 times. This streaming app is horrible. I rather watch it on Telemundo. Cancelling asap.

Added Paramount + to watch the USA women’s soccer Concocaf Championship.. horrible. I have top speed internet and this live broadcast froze 3 times. The home page of Paramount + scrolling is not friendly.. it freezes and you can’t arrow back if you do it takes you out of the app.
I will be canceling.

The Paramount+ app is by far the worst streaming app on X1 (Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, HBO Max).  I usually don't have problems watching anything but going through the menus is torture.  If you just go into the app, it takes 3 or 4 minutes just for everything to load.  It's easiest to into shows from the X1 show listing and watch them from there.
