Outputs on X1 boxes

Hoping to hear from a Comcast employee, on this.

We just upgraded our old Cisco/SciAtlanta set top boxes to X1s.

No one warned us that there are hardly any outputs on the backs of these boxes.  The XG2v2-P that we got has many outputs, but not the S-video output we need for one of our devices.  The XiD-P boxes that we got have almost no outputs.

I can probably figure out how to make the DVR box (the XG2v2-P) work for our purposes (maybe) - but can we get multiple XG2v2-P boxes, for our house, so that we can connect (for example) the wireless headphones my hard-of-hearing spouse uses to hear the TV without blasting it?  They require RCA AV outputs on the cable box so that the volume to the headphones is independent of the volume of the TV speaker.  I'm already using the XG2v2-P in another room, so it's not available for where the headphones are used.

We will return one XiD-P if we can get a second XG2v2-P.  Otherwise, we might have to keep all our old boxes.

I couldn't wait.  I believe I've got someone from your social media (Twitter) team helping me.  But thanks for the offer and, if they don't come through, I'll get in touch.

Word of warning to anyone swapping boxes by UPS, however -- Comcast CHARGES you, without warning you -- for the time period that you're holding onto both boxes.  So test quickly and return quickly.

My equipment charges doubled, this month.  All because I had to finagle how I was going to handle all our extra equipment, all because there was no warning that the X1 boxes were going to have way fewer output options.

very inexpensive breakout boxes are available at Amazon to provide the audio line out level (note that there is no volume control, that the line out must be amplified and volume level controlled by the device. This is all modern digital TV technology. the Xg1v4 DVR and the Xi6 provide the same audio via bluetooth but your device must be able to control the volume itself.
