Please fix this!,

started Aug 18, still messed up today (8/19).
The all channels guide shows a star on the previously selected favorites, but there’s no FAVORITES guide.

It's not totally fixed yet. Duh. I added my favorites back in. Realized I wanted to ditch one. It's still in the list even though it's not starred.

Well, it appears that Comcast/Xfinity erased the "Favorites" guide contents in an update overnight for everyone across the country including me.  Just spent the last 45 minutes reloading all the favorites one by one. :((((  Just wait until subscribers return from work today to find their favorites guide no longer works and they have to reload from scratch!!.  THANKS A LOT COMCAST!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the info but like so many other things regarding Xfinity people have to be self sufficient and figure things out for themselves. The poor agents aren’t supplied with information and are adrift with solutions that are a go-to but ineffectual  since they don’t know much else but restarting the cable over and over again. It’s nice that the company did finally fix this although I figured out how to do that that yesterday and re-added my favorites.

Maybe the only real solution is to switch cable tv providers. My friend just went to Direct TV but honestly not sure it’s any better. Or just stream stuff on a smart tv as so many, especially young people are doing and ditch Xfinity and save money in the process.

The support reps are pretending that they don't know anything about this issue!!!  Why am I not surprised?   He finally admitted that the tech department is aware and they are working on it.  It had something to do with an update that Xfinity pushed out.  Thousands of customers were affected.

user_qyhp2t - Thank you for reaching out. We apologize for the inconvenience you’re experiencing with the X1 guide. To help troubleshoot, have you already tried performing a hard reboot of the TV Box? Please unplug the power cord from the box for 30 to 60 seconds, then plug it back in and allow it to fully restart. Once it's back online, let us know if the issue persists, and we'll be happy to continue working with you toward a resolution.

Same problem here in Sarasota, FL.  Took the advice of the guys who said to just redo it.  It took a few minutes but is back to normal.  The customers obviously know more about it than the technicians.  Sad.

Same problem in Texas. The Quick Tip screen is displayed whenever we press Guide on the remote.

Just fixed it in the Denver area. Seems to work normally. Too little too late. I am switching internet to Allo bundled with Directv streaming service. Saves me $100 a month and I get more and better tv channels. Good riddance Xfinity!
