Newest DVR/non-DVR boxes

I origionally had a Moto XG1 box but the fan suddenly got very noisey so traded it in at a Comcast store.  All they had was an older Pace XG1 DVR box with the clock so took that.  I recently got a message on the TV that I should upgrade my box so processed the order and one is on the way.  I assume this would be a XG2v2 or ? Are these the units that will do 4k?

I also need to add a smaller HD/4K TV in my office so need to get another non-DVR box.  What is the newest/preferable model to get for non-DVR HD?

There’s no way of knowing what you’re getting sent until it shows. The Xi6 is the newest and will work as long as you have a Comcast gateway. A visit to the local service center is the best and quickest way to ensure you get the equipment that you want

I did go to a Comcast store and they had no newer boxes, all they had was older refurbeded units.  I think the Pace box I got was older than the Moto unit I turned in...

Thank you for your effort and attempt at upgrading your equipment at the store and I'm sorry to hear we didn't have what you hoped for on inventory. Depending on how far along your current order is in the process, I might be able to locate either tracking information on it, or perhaps the model number now. I can also help with getting an Xi6 box shipped out to you, for your office. If we do that, there is a $15 shipping fee that comes along with it. When we ship out equipment manually like this, it normally takes about 5 - 7 business days to get to you. I would anticipate some shipping delays in this case though of course, just because of the combination of the pandemic and the holidays.
