New remote, poor design

I recently received and updated cable TV box and new remote.   The new remote is difficult to depress the main arrow buttons.  are there any options to get a different remote?

One option would be to download the Xfinity TV Remote App from either the App Store or Google Play, and to use it with your TV Box. This article may help with that - https://comca.st/3Har6xM

From there, we recommend that you simply swap out your remote for a new one at the nearest Xfinity Store. You can locate the nearest store and schedule an appointment, here - https://comca.st/3gbGvlK

The main reason that I would recommend the store is that we really don’t have the ability to select a remote model to ship, and they may have several options in the store. We are basically going to ship out a replacement X1 remote, and the warehouse will ship the best available option.

You did indicate that you updated a box. Do you still have the old remote?

I'll bet you got the XR15 and yes it's a piece of garbage, but it's cheaper and Comcast doesn't care whether you like it or not.

not sure why you don't like the xr15, guess it is what you get used to using. Batteries last much longer in my experience with the xr15 remotes.

@Rustyben​ There are dozens of users (paying customers) that dislike the XR15, Comcast doesn't care whether they like it or not, because the XR15 is less expensive for them. You either get used to something that's difficult to use or purchase one from the many places that sell them, because they are actually available.
