New box, reset when doing anything.

We just turned cable tv back on, we’ve had internet, but can’t do anything with the box. Setup appeared to run fine but everytime we try to do anything it resets. I’ve read this may mean a bad connection but the modem had been plugged into the same cable and worked fine. I moved it to install the box. Help!
