New 4k box causes other problems

We got a 4k TV so we asked for a 4k Xi6 box...got a smaller "flex" box, the old box was connected by a coax cable right from the exterior wall. This new box connects to the router via wifi, and also ethernet cable. Once we connected the new box, the other 2 tv boxes (non-4k) stopped working. They are still connected via coax cable, right from the wall. This is all before the cable even reaches the router.

We never touched the other devices, they are in completely different rooms so I doubt it's due to "loose connections" like the tech suggested after 2 hours on the phone.

All we did was connect a new box to the router directly without touching the existing cable connections to the old boxes and they stopped working.  any ideas?  Thank you
