Need to swap out two wireless Xi6 boxes back to two hardwired XG1v4 DVR boxes
In early September 2026, a Xfinity service technician came out to our home to determine a technical problem we were having with not being able to watch certain channels within our HD package on our receivers. The problem was identified with our old outside cable line from the gray box on the outside of our house to the main hub box near the street. The service technician replaced the line (which days later was buried by Comcast). While the service technician was at our home, he replaced our existing coaxial cable X1 DVR primary box and two coaxial cable HD boxes with three of the up-to-date wireless Xi6 boxes. Since then, we have had lag problems and Wi-Fi drops with these new wireless boxes (among other issues). We really dislike these new Xi6 wireless boxes. I need to place a hardware exchange order to swap out two of these Xi6 boxes with two hardwired Arris XG1v4 DVR boxes with two TV remotes. We will keep one of the Xi6 wireless boxes on an HD tv that isn't used as frequently. Plus, we will need a 2-way coaxial splitter with two short RG6 coaxial cables (which our originals were removed by the service technician in September) to connect one cable to our Xfinity Router and the other cable to the replacement XG1v4 DVR box for the main bedroom. We can return ship the two Xi6 boxes once we receive the replacements. Thank you in advance for your follow-up.
