Hello @user_1546f5, thanks for reaching out to share your frustrations with the Nap/Power saving function.
Currently, there are only two modes for your TV Box when there has been no activity for four hours. Power Saver Mode, which conserves your power, and Nap Mode, which does not save power.
Your TV Box will automatically go into Nap Mode after four hours of inactivity if you do not have Power Saver on. If Power Saver mode is on, you will see an "Are You Still There?" message on your screen. If you do not respond to this message, your TV Box will go into Power Saver mode.
@XfinityRyanE WHY? What is reason for this feature?? It says in description that they cannot even be sure it actually saves power ....so why?? We customers deserve answers and refunds if our TVs are gonna turn off when we pay BIG money monthly for it!! Please tell us how to contact someone higher up to address immediately. Thanks.
Is this new?? I've been wondering why I keep waking up to my tv on a grey screen for the past few weeks. I'm paying good money for this service and I should be able to keep the TV on allllllll night if I choose!
Hello and thank you for taking the time to reach out to us here on our Xfinity Forums. I understand the frustration, it is a power saving feature on the boxes. You can click this link to learn more about it: https://comca.st/3GtOt5b.

If there is NO way to override this ridiculous feature....then How do we get refund for this? Everyone angry about this NEEDS to call and demand refund for this!! Comcast will NOT listen until they start having ppl DEMAND REFUNDS! We pay big $$ to comcast monthly to have TV signal. This is wrong.
Why didnt Comcast inform customers of this new ridiculous feature? Who decided 5hours was too much and needed to shorten to 4 hours now?? And WHY...when it even says they cannot be sure if this saves much power.
