My SiriusXM app on my box stopped working

My SiriusXM app stopped working and won’t even load (error code 4036) It worked, then stopped for a few weeks. It ran for one day in February and hasn’t worked since. My box is compatible (Xc-1) and I’ve tried all of the remedies, none of which worked. I’m not resetting my box again, because it knocks off the rest of my sign ons.

Did this already and all they did was suggest the same procedure that I tried 5-6 times before. All it did was knock all my sign ons off my Roku, which is annoying.

Einstein stated that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. Judging from the amount of people with the same issue, this is a problem on your end.

user_8ddd5e With each case a customer reaches out that works through troubleshooting in full with us we are able to gather data on what may be causing it for our team to correct it on the backend. I see you stopped before we could complete all the steps with you, but if you would like to continue we are happy to do so, and it will link what we did to any known issues with the app to assist us with getting it repaired. Should you wish to continue with us, we are happy to finish troubleshooting with you.

Hello @user_bp1p7m, thanks for posting on our Xfinity Forums. If you are getting the error on you X1 Box or your Xumo Stream Box try clearing the cache and locally stored data, it often helps resolve issues with 3rd party apps. Here is an article that can help!: Clear locally stored data on X1 and Xumo Stream Box from Xfinity. Let us know how it works!

I first tried the app on Feb 13, 2026 and received the same error.  I worked with an xfinity support agent via messaging for more than 90 minutes.  We tried various combinations of equipment resets.  None of these solved the issue.  As a last resort, the agent suggested that I replace the xfinity X1 box.  This also did not solve the problem.

I retested today and still get the same error.  Other xfinity music apps such as Spotify, iHeart, and Pandora launch successfully.
