Uh oh! That definitely sounds frustrating, @user_b15172

So that you are not stuck without a working remote in the meantime, you can use our Xfinity TV Remote app!

If you need to, you can also order a replacement through us here, the Xfinity Assistant, or by going into a nearby service center

Perhaps you have a button that is 'stuck'.  Suggest you remove batteries, then gently clean the outside of the remote with a lint free cloth and some mild cleaner, or distilled water.  Do not saturate the cloth, just make sure it is just damp enough to clean your remote.  Press each button a few times as you are cleaning the area around it.  Let the remote dry, put the batteries back in, and see it that helps.  Also be aware that cheap, no name batteries will drain much faster than no name batteries.  Suggest you buy name brand batteries.  If all of the above fails, you can request an new remote online at xfinity or by visiting your nearest xfinity store.  the remote you receive might be a refurbished one instead of a new one, but it will have been cleaned and tested prior to it being shipped to you.
