my new X1 cable box needs to be rebooted at least 50% of the time I try to use it

I switched to the latest X1 cablebox recently because I had upgraded to a 4k projector.  now, at least 50% of the time I try to watch TV, I have to reboot the cable box. the box is connected to an AV stereo receiver, which then sends an HDMI signal to my projector. this setup was flawless on my old comcast cable box.  now, at least 50% of the time, I get either a black screen, or "please wait while we connect to a entertainment", or "HDMI signal not found".  the only solution I have found is to unplug the cablebox to reboot it.  this is seriously annoying.

This is an ongoing issue:

I have the same issue.  Comcast came out and substituted a non-X1 box but the issue still persists.

I've contacted the supervisor that came out right before Christmas because she asked for feedback on whether the new non-X1 box solved the issue.  It hasn't so we'll see what the next steps are.

It happens on 1080P as well. I have an X1 box connected to an Epson 2150. It works fine after setup. Then overnight next day I turn the projector on and no picture. I have opt audio from box to an av receiver and I hear the audio but no picture. Only fix is unplug power reboot or “”unplug hdmi from X1 box and plug back in. That fixes it but it’s quite ridiculous to do this on a daily basis. My wife likes everything on one remote and if I’m not there yea she just ends up not watching anything....... again this is quite ridiculous. Also I tried setting to 1080i and also turn off the X1 feature that sets everything to best picture.
Still same problem next day. Everything is connected to the Xfinity remote. Receiver & projector come on when I hit the power button.
I have also tried an HDMI switch box but if I don’t switch on the projector before the box first, the colors from the input X1 are washed out and inverted...
I don’t want to spend extra money to find a switch box that may or not work if an update or setting can be made on the box.
This is Frustrating... if anybody else has any other ideas please let me know thanks.
