Did it ever work?  What make/model TV do you have?  Do you have an Xfinity remote (which model) or just the remote for your TV?

Try rebooting your box and see if that solves it. Or you can try repairing at https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/remote-program-the-xr2-or-xr5-to-aim-anywhere

Have you checked for outages? When that happens usually it’s an outage or loss of signal. Have you reset it?
