More devices listed than on my account...

Where does the X1 system get these devices from? I added “W” to my current device names. Everything else is not mine. Am I somehow linked to someone else’s account? Picture attached.

I swapped out my dvr about 2 months ago. But I also have never had labels like bedroom or living room. It’s as if there are some ghost boxes associated with my account. When I use the app, it has 3 correctly identified.

I have the same problem. Since getting a new X1 DVR, I've had 2 DVRs named "Living Room" showing in the menus. I've since renamed it to "X". It still shows up in the DVR device menu and also the TV Remote app. If I go into the TV remote app settings, both the Selected TV and the Default DVR have an option to select "X". If I send a test to "X" there's a popup that says "Error testing device" since it doesn't exist. Is there a way to remove it?

i have had this issue for YEARS. Comcast is slow to do a 'wipe' of old equipment off the accounts like that.

Sometimes when it has never been added in the 1st place

I actually think this is more than just cosmetic. I have recordings go missing that I find strewn about old boxes etc. it’s really odd behavior.

Yikes @skippy66029, I know that this type of thing drives me bananas so I'd love to work on getting those "ghost" boxes removed for you! Please click on my handle (ComcastGina) and "Send a message" with your name and service address, and let us know the serial number or MAC addresses of the boxes that should be on the account.
