Mobile Casting to X1

I am trying to Cast my Windows 10 laptop screen to my TV via X1. I found these instructions:

To turn on or off mobile casting:

  1. Press the xfinity button (X1 or Flex) or home button (Flex) on your remote.

  2. Use the right or left arrow buttons to get to the gear icon, then press OK to go to Settings.

  3. Use the up or down arrow buttons to get to Privacy, then press OK.

  4. Go to Mobile Video Casting and press OK to change the setting as you'd like. (to On or Off)

The first three steps work fine, but when I go into the Privacy area there is no Mobile Video Casting choice.

Am I doing something wrong or has that choice been removed?

Hello @tjw10061. You may not have a cable box that is compatible with Mobile Casting, or there could be a couple other reasons. Let's get your account pulled up and take a look. Please send me a direct message with your first and last name, along with your complete service address to “Xfinity Support”. To do so, click on the chat icon located at the top right of this forums page.   

Here are detailed steps to direct message us:  

 • Click "Sign In" if necessary 

 • Click the direct message icon

 • Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon 

 • Type "Xfinity Support" in the to line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list 

 • Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window 

 • Press Enter to send your message
