Missing dvr content

Well it finally happened to me. 3 recordings just gone. Not deleted adequate storage just gone. Of course i can buy them…  one was just on TCM a subscription i dont have. Hmmmm could that be the issue? A recorded movie being offered on subscription channel disappears my free recording?
