Main box beeping and clicking

We were just sent the newer model X1 main box and I set it up fine and it was working great. It is in our bedroom, and I was just woken up to it making a random pattern of beeping and clicking. It will do it once then stop, sometimes three times in succession and then stop. Is this normal for overnight? Our older larger box never did this. If this is normal then I'm going to have the main box moved because I'm way too light of a sleeper! I'm going to head to the Xfinity store tomorrow, but since I was awake anyway, I figured I would ask here!

use voice command 'about' and reply with the line under "STB Version".

the only moving part on that xg1v4 DVR is the tiny one inch cooling fan on the top at the front middle edge. you might be able to swap it out at your local xfinity store.

@Fromo clicks are mostly normal if very small in hard drives like the x1v3 has. if you can upgade to a V4 for the same price it does away with all but one tiny fan. (i've got 3 of them,).

could be he hard drive. Either just a loud drive, or its dying. You can swap the box out.
