Hello, user_6v5h4b thank you for taking time out of your day to create a post. You've reached out to the right place for support, and I can answer your question about capitalizing letters when attempting to log in.
When signing in to the Apps, when you see the 'keyboard" used to type in your email/password. In the bottom corner, there is the box that has the letters "ABC", you should see they are capitalized. Clicking that box will change from lower case to capitalized letters.
I went to my X1 set-top box, and noticed that the appears opposite when each state. While the letters to type are lower case the "ABC" will reflect capitalized, and while the letters to type are capitalized the "abc" will reflect lower case.
