Issue with DVR recordings

I have been having issues with select DVR recordings stopping during playback, and doing a system restart. I have reached out to tech support an was told there’s an outage that’s affecting multiple areas and causing this problem. I was told it should be fixed n two days. Does this sound plausible? When I check the outage map for my area it shows everything is fine. This has been very frustrating.

Hello user_58w6ac Thank you for stopping in for help with your DVR recordings being interrupted. I checked into our known issues, and I am not seeing anything that matches your description. Have you seen the reset when it happens? The only thing I can think of is that may be because this would be the daily update feature that causes the box to reset. Normally, if you are watching when it is time for the update, you get a pop-up on the screen asking if you want to skip or postpone the update. That can only be done every other day to make sure your box is kept up to date.  If you have not seen this happen, you can check to see what time your box has its updates scheduled. This page would show you how.
