Hello, @user_e25bpn a wired X1 box is always going to give you a more robust connection. The wireless boxes work great you'll just want to make sure you have a strong enough wireless signal to operate it. So, both have their advantages. The advantage to the wireless box is you don't need an active cable outlet to set one up. Really the best answer is going to depend on your home and where you need the box set up.
Wireless also requires using the Xfinity router. We use their gateway, but in bridge mode with our own mesh router, which rules of the Xfinity wireless boxes. Plus, we get more tuners and local storage with our wired 4K boxes.
