Is there an additional charge for a compatible x1 tv box to watch Apple TV+ or Paramount+

Does Xfinity charge an additional fee for a X1 tv box to watch Apple TV+ or Paramount+ ?

Hello, we do not have ownership of those services so we would not charge you to use them, but they are not free services, you would need to have an account with them and you would be paying them for the services.

Got it! @borisj There is no additional charge if you take your cable box and swap it out at the closest Xfinity store.

I no longer work for Comcast.

There is one version of the XG2v2 that didn't support some services. But, the XG2v2, no matter what version, is UNUSABLE for streaming. It's is obscenely slow. You are better off buying an external streaming device like a Roku, Firestick, Chromecast, etc... Even the cheapest versions would be better than an XG2v2. They also allow you to only add what you want and arrange things the way you want. With X1, you have no control. For a Roku, I consider the Express 4K the lowest model. The plain Express is too memory limited and is frustrating to use.
