Is there a way to get Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos though the Max app?
Even though some shows are listed as 4k Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos in the MAX app (on an LG TV), they do not stream in 4k Dolby Vision/Atmos. What do I need to do to get them in 4k?

you have to subscribe to the Max ultimate tier which is like 21/month
our HBO subscription only gets us the standard Max app package and no 4k or atmos.
and its not like we can just "pay the difference" - Max will not allow that (around $5/month)
You have 1 of 2 options
1) subscribe directly through MAX and pay an additional $21/month
2) cancel your cable HBO package and subscribe to the max ultimate package, but then you wouldn't be able to dvr the channels as such
personally I'm keeping my cable package and Max and jump off a bridge for not allowing me to just "pay the difference".
your view may vary.................

I do not have the highest tier on Max and thus do not get DV or Atmos on entertainment content on any platform. However, DV/Atmos on live sports does not require the high tier. I get both using my LG TV Max app. But, using the Max app on my XG1v4, I get Atmos while the video is only SDR.
