Is there a way to extend recording’s automatically on x1 Dvr?

All of our recordings seem to cut off the last minute or so of recorded shows.  When we remember we try to set the recording settings to extend a few minutes but sometimes we forget.  Is there any way to make that setting the default so all recordings will be extended 5 minutes?

Yes. It's available under the Record Options for the show. You can start earl and stop late.

I’m aware of this for each show/series when the recording is set up.  But is there a way to set this as the default so whenever we set a new recording it automatically comes up as ending extended without us having to go into the option settings each time?

Thanks @Lsimon for using our forums to get assistance with your TV service. Are you by any chance referring to the Auto Pad Recording?

@Lsimon We would recommend going here (https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/x1-modify-the-recording-time-of-a-program) it looks like this would need to be done by the program as we are not locating a setting that would apply to all.

@XfinityKaren​  - I just did a search on Auto Pad and was so happy because this is just what I was looking for!  Unfortunately when I found the setting on our DVR it was already set to on and had apparently been on for a long time.   So for some reason it's not working on our DVR as recent recordings are being cut off just short of the end.
