Is there a 4K set top box that's NOT a DVR?

I've had an amazingly frustrating customer service eperience both online and in person for 2 weeks now. I'm trying to swap a HD box for a 4K box but already have a 4K DVR box so I just need 4K capability. Tonight I was told by my local store that all 4K boxes are DVRs and that a non-DVR 4K box doesn't exist. This can't be true. Any help would be great. Thanks.

if you have a rented xb3/xb6/xb7 then you can use the companion set top box that is wireless or ethernet connected xi6 for 4k.
