Is the Motorola RNG200N a 4k box?

I've been having problems with my 4k DVR box and the chat associate said he'd send out a replacement box. The box I have now that isn't working right is a 4k DVR box. The replacement box I just received is a Motorola RNG400N. Before I go hooking this up, I want to make sure it's a comparable box to what I'm replacing and paying for - especially since it doesn't look anything like what I already own. Can anyone enlighten me - is this Motorola RNG200N a 4k DVR box? Thanks!

It’s not a 4K box, it’s not even an X1 box

I was replacing my broken 4k box and I was sent one of these as well.  I contacted support to get the correct box and I was sent another one of them and an actual replacement for the 4k box.  I don't understand why they are sending out those old monstrosities.  I even asked the first time to make sure I was getting a 4k replacement box.  I would call support and ask for the correct box.

They also sent me one of those antique RNG200N boxes to replace my small 4K box that died. But it gets better. The first replacement they sent me was a Flex 4K box, which is totally useless to me. When I called, they overnighted me that giant antique box. Xfinity customer service is a joke.

no, the only actual set top boxes for 4k are the DVR xg1v4 and the xfinity gateway-required-too xi6 wireless set top box. alternatively you can use an inexpensive modern model of the Roku or Amazon Fire TV device.

Maybe I didn't get specific enough or you misread what I said. I had the XG1v4 4K box on my main TV. It died. The technician came to my house but said techs don't carry the XG1v4 boxes with them on their trucks, so he gave me the XG1-A non 4K box and had me call Xfinity to have them ship me the correct box. What they first shipped me was the Xi6-T Flex4k box. I called again and then they shipped me the RNG200N. I called again and am now waiting to see if I get the correct box on the 3rd try.

you posted on an old thread. are you needing a 4k DVR or non-DVR set top box? I have escalated your issue to the Comcast Team available to these forums. Check back often for a reply in this thread from a Comcast Official Employee.

No. My previous comments explain everything.

I already escalated so an employee will look at the post. do you still have the xg1v4 in your home even if not working? I've not heard of anything other than a noisy fan on top being a problem.

Did you ever get the correct box? I just had the same happen to me. Got a message that I needed a "free" upgrade to my X1 DVR in order to use the Disney+ app. So I order the upgrade. The 1st box comes dead, won't power up. Call Xfinity and the try to charge me $100 to send a tech to verify the box is dead. I say, no, I can guarantee it is, I'm not paying for a tech. She says, ok, I'll send you another box, $15 shipping! After I explain there's no way I'm paying shipping for a problem that's not my fault, she waives it. The "new" box arrives today, a 2010 Motorola RGN200, not even the "newer" N version. I called again, now they're sending the correct replacement, so they say. Just curious if you ever got the right box. Hope you did.
