Is anyone else dealing with pixelation issues on local HD NY channels in the Central Jersey area?

Just wondering. Because I've been dealing with pixelation issues on several of the local HD NY channels for about 2 weeks now and I suspect it's an issue outside my home that's causing it since last fall, I was dealing with the same thing and the issue finally cleared up. I'm okay if it's going to take a little longer to fix. But, is the issue being worked on? Because it's hard to watch shows on ABC 7 now, like Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune, due to the pixelation. And I'm not too keen on having to watch them via the Xfinity App.

Good afternoon user_ptyccd. Are you still experiencing issues with these channels? If so, what troubleshooting steps have taken so far?

Yes, I'm still experiencing issues with pixelation on the local HD NYC channels. I've tried unplugging the box from the wall, unplugging the power cord from the box and making sure the cables are as tight as can be, but the pixelation continues. A tech was also at my home a few months ago and said the signal levels were fine. And like I wrote, last fall, I was dealing with a similar issue and it eventually cleared up without me having done anything about it. So if it is a problem on your end, I understand. But, is anything being done to fix it?

Hello @user_ptyccd, I can certainly understand how frustrating this must be. When checking if the connections are tight, did you happen to see if there was a splitter also connected?

There are a couple of splitters in my home. And I've made sure that the connections are tight at them. It's made no difference. As I wrote, I understand if this is an issue on Xfinity's end. But, is it being worked on? Because while I could use the Xfinity App on my computer to avoid having to deal with the pixelation, I'm not too keen on having to have to do that.

Thanks for checking. One thing we’d like to rule out is whether the issue is related to the splitter on your coax connection. If your TV is connected through a splitter, please disconnect the splitter and connect the coax cable directly to the TV. This can help determine whether the issue is with the splitter or the signal coming into your home.

Have you tried troubleshooting through the Xfinity app? It’s a helpful self-service tool that can guide you through fixing issues or scheduling an in-home technician to resolve connection problems: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/tv-troubleshoot-xfinity-app

Unfortunately, I can't connect the cable directly to the box for the TV since the TV is in another room and the cable isn't long enough to reach the box. And as I wrote, a tech was at my home a few months ago and said the signal levels were good.

I live in Hillsborough NJ.  Have been experiencing pixelation on all HD channels for several weeks now, on both TV's with a box.  A friend who lives a mile from us also has this problem.  I checked all my connections, and last week got new X1 cable boxes. No difference.  This is obviously a problem on the Comcast side.  Please fix, for the $$$ I'm paying.
