I want to add 2nd remote to 4K Box
I don't understand why you are unable to add a 2nd remote to the new 4K XG1v4-A box. My wife and I would like to share remote control on our TV. I don't understand this restriction. We have always been able to use 2 remotes.

After several repeated attempts due to the post from Blslander I was finally able to pair two remotes. One XR15 and one XR15v2. I am very happy with this result. I just kept pressing the "Xfinity" button at the same time holding down the "I" button. The code came up on TV to pair. It worked but took several tries.
I had read several places it could not be done, but I guess it can!
Thanks BLslander!

We have two remotes paired to an XG1v4-A. An XR15 and an XR11.

No, @billmich88888
I haven't posted about having a problem. Mine was a reply to DenverJohn1's post asking why it is not possible to pair a second remote to his new XG1v4-A box. While troubleshooting a problem, I paired an XR11 remote to the DVR along with the original XR15. The box responds to both.

I have two remotes paired to a XG1v4. Just pair them and they should both work. If the remote was previously paired to a box you need to reset the remote. Instructions for such are in the user manual on the Comcast site.
