I want my cable box to stay on and active!

Because I had to get a replacement cable box from Xfinity, it has now become their decision as to how long my TV plays? What happens when I want to leave the TV on for my pet? What happens when I want to leave the TV on while I sleep? What happens when I want to leave the TV on so it sounds like someone is home when I'm out and what happens when I want to leave the TV on as background noise when I'm doing other things? Who is Xfinity to determine how long my box can stay on? Had my previous box not broken. I would have remained in control of how long my TV plays! And in my opinion, if you have a power save option that can be turned off, how is it that you have installed a permanent nap mode which basically does the exact same thing but does not save the consumer electricity. You're still controlling my use.

Hello, @Aviedo it sounds odd that your TV box is shutting off on its own. My box does not do this. Can you tell me what model TV box your replacement? Also, seems like you have already turned off the Power saver feature. Have you also turned off the HDMI Device Control feature(When your compatible HDMI-linked TV is turned off, your TV Box will go into standby mode), nap, and any screensaver features. The box may also be running it's scheduled software update which happens daily.
