I have a XG1A. I called to get a 4K replacement and Comcast sent me a XiD-P. I have one cable box and one tv.

You need either a wired XG1v4 DVR or a wireless Xi6.  Those are the only two 4K boxes.

Thomas A reply certainly does not help customer relations.  If I had any tech knowledge I would switch to another provider.   Xfinity service is absolutely terrible.   From calling the xfinity number and waiting 5 hrs to be called back when they tell me I won't lose my place in line, to an XG1A box that performs terribly.  Boy do I wish I had the knowledge to switch to another provider but with my lack of tech knowledge I am afraid to change for fear of getting something worse than Xfinity.
