I have 2 Toshiba smart TVs, the remotes accidentally control both TVs.
Hello everyone,
I purchased a 55-in 4k Toshiba fire TV last year for my master bedroom. I just got this year's 50-in 4K Toshiba fire TV during prime days to upgrade the TV in my living room.
I easily paired the remote in my living room with no issues yesterday but noticed today that the remote for the TV in the living room was accidentally also controlling the volume on my master bedrooms 55-in.
The door to my master bedroom is connected to my living room. I can use my Xfinity remote from my living room TV for my master bedroom and vice versa. I just tried different codes that did not work, so basically when turning up the volume from the living room it will sometimes adjust the volume of the TV in my master bedroom.
Is there anything I can do about this? As I stated the TV in my master bedroom is last year's 55-in 4k Toshiba fire TV, the new TV I just set up yesterday in my living room is this year's model of the 50-in 4K Toshiba fire TV.
Thank you in advance, hopefully there is a solution to this issue.

the IR is being seen by both and the audio codes appear to be the same code. close the door perhaps in the bedroom? same would probably happen if you change the volume with the TV's remote.
