How to pair x11 remote with Bose sound bar

I wanted to answer/reply to a post from mrmattei (sp?) from 5 months ago, but no reply button. Users were having issues with pairing a Bose Sound Bar with X11 remote. A user gave detailed instructions to reset remote, pair tv then pair Bose manually. That works if you are using the digital optical cord to connect the Bose to the tv.  If you have the Bose sound bar hooked up to the tv with an HDMI cord, once you pair the tv, the speaker listed when you change volume shows HDMI Receiver. So once you pair the tv with the Comcast remote, with HDMI-eARC port, voila! The Bose works. Hopes this helps.
