How to access Xfinity from Samsung TV Home Page when using an AV Receiver
I have my Xfinity Flex box running through my UHD AV Receiver via HDMI and then to my Samsung TU8000 SmartTV. When the source is set to the receiver and I press the Home button on the Samsung remote, I can access Netflix, Prime, etc. However, Xfinity is not listed there. To exit Netflix and return to Xfinity, I must hit the Back button on the Samsung remote until the message 'Exit App' appears. Once I choose this, I return to Xfinity TV source. I tried adding the Xfinity Stream Beta app, and that appears on the Samsung TV Home Screen. But accessing Xfinity through the app is slow compared to accessing through the TV box and AVR. I contacted Samsung Support Chat and worked with an agent for over an hour while he logged into the TV. He indicated that since the TV box is running through the AVR, is does not appear as a separate Source or App. The AVR does default to Xfinity TV box after exiting any app. Have I confused you yet?
Does anybody else have this issue with their setup and/or have a resolution?

@user_beware Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I have my system set up like this and like yours the AVR does not recognize the box as a source and I have to exit before I use the app. If I have the box connected directly to the TV It sees it as a source. I now have the box connected to the TV and run a fiber optic audio line from the TV to the AVR to get the best sound
