How do I TURN OFF the Xfinity X1 screensaver?
Every time I turn off my TV at night, then turn it on in the morning, it shows the Xfinity X1 box screensaver. How do I turn OFF that screensaver. It is annoying. Thank you!

Hi there, @user_mqcr3g Thank you for reaching out to us about the screen saver. At this time the screen saver can not be disabled however, you can change the settings to 5 hours. To make the changes you would press the Xfinity key then Setting Icon>Device Settings>Screen Saver>Screen Saver Start After. From here you can choose 5, 15, 30 minutes or 5 hours. -Richard

IF you do a google search for this issue you'll see 5 years of Comcast employees blowing smoke up their customer's wazoo. It's clear to me that they have no intention of changing this, which leads me to believe that it benefits them in some way. Either way, their customers pay for a full month worth of cable tv and that is not what comcast is giving them. Some people have elderly, some people need it to sleep, some people have pets, Comcast has been informed about this and they just do not care. I have absolutely no doubt that they are using the screensaver to reduce traffic on their network because the content is streamed to your box, but it doesn't matter if I'm am correct, because Comcast doesn't care either way. I'm going to change tv and internet providers over this, I am sick and tired of anti-consumer practices in the US. The other providers might not be better service, I do not know, but at least I can switch back and forth to get the latest new subscriber deal from whatever provider. Why be loyal to a company that doesn't listen to you, and gives their customers answers designed to politely tell you to __ ________. Been a customer for nearly 3 decades, all we get is less content and higher prices. Now they are rationing what you pay for. This should move towards a class action.
