How do I get rid of stuff under "Recently Watched'?

So frustrating.  I see a movie I may be interested in, but there is no way to tell whether it includes ads or not until I start it.  I see ads and immediately stop.  With a non-ad movies (like HBO On Demand), I can get rid of movie from "Recently Watched" by simply skipping to the very end, let it play the last few seconds and it disappears.  Not so with movies with ads.  No, I start it, NOT KNOWING IF THERE ARE ADS OR NOT, discover it includes ads, decide I'm not interested, but if I try to skip to the very end... oh no no no no... you MUST see ads.

Okay, how do I get rid of the [Edited: Language] with ads from Recently Watched?

[Edited: "Inflammatory"]

Either give us the ability to clear things from Recently Watched OR warn us BEFORE starting one that it includes ads.

So, someone took the trouble of editing my post, by not answering it?

Nice.

Are you guys even trying to maintain customers anymore?  Man I had decided not to leave to FIOS and to stay with Xfinity.  Guess I'll have to relook at that issue again.

Oh, and WHY was this moved away from Steaming and into TV?  I don't even have a TV (or box).  All I do is watch on Xfinity stream on my computer.  And the issue occurs on the streaming web page that shows things like, Recently Watched, Recent Channels, Free Premium Movies, Popular Movies, Live TV, etc.  Why was this post moved?  (I get why it was edited, but not why it was moved.)

Hey, @OldeFatGuy. My apologies for the delay in response and I'm sorry to hear about the Xfinity Streaming Ads not allowing you to fast-forward to remove the title from the recently watched category. Unfortunately, we don't have the option of modifying or removing titles from the recently watched category manually. But you can manage your communication and ad preferences online. Have you tried modifying your Communication and Ads preferences online before?
