help with x1 HDMI output, need RCA Composite

When Xfinity upgraded my cable service to “All WiFi”, the cable box only has an HDMI output.  My TV does not have an HDMI interface, only RCA composite connections.

Does Xfinity have a X1 cable box with a RCA composite output like the earlier cable boxes?

I’ve tried HDMI to RCA composite converters, but the video output from the converters is not strong enough during a night scene to show up properly.

I’ve tried several commercial video amplifiers with and without Equalization, that provide up to +3db gain, but this does not fix the problem.  I’ve tried several “tips and hints” from various forums and the Xfinity user forum - to no avail.  I’m now trying this forum hoping that an Xfinity employee or expert can offer a solution that does not require me to purchase a new TV

Good Morning, @user_s588j6 Thank you for taking the time to reach out to us today. I'm sorry for the trouble you are having with upgrading your equipment due to your TV. To answer your question, some older Xfinity X1 boxes, such as the XG2 model, do have RCA composite (yellow, red, white) outputs for connecting to older TVs.-Richard

Thanks for this information.  How should I request having one of these older X1 boxes be installed to work with the new X1 technology just installed this month?

I have two X1 boxes.  Only one is giving me issues.

@user_s588j6 We can certainly order one for you to be shipped or picked up at a local store so you can swap it out for the non-working one. To do this we need you to direct message us with your full name and service address.
