HBO Max
HBO Max asks me to sign in. I sign in. I get the OK message. HBO Max starts on my TV but when I select a program to watch it reverts back to the signin screen. I tried the 'fix' suggested by bluejeans07 - clear cache - but that didn't work. I also tried 'refresh' and that didn't work. What is the solution?

Hello @user_ce47f3, thanks for reaching out to us on our Forums page about this HBO Max sign-in loop issue. I love being able to access HBO Max right from my X1 cable box, so I definitely understand your concerns about running into this issue and not being able to successfully access it. I can confirm that
we’re aware of this new issue affecting the HBO Max app on Xfinity X1 and Xfinity Flex, where customers aren’t able to get past the sign-in page – they’re being looped back to sign in repeatedly.
While HBO works on a permanent fix, here’s a workaround:
1. Please go online and sign in to https://comca.st/3xORTdR. (You may have to choose Sign In on the next page as well.)
2. When prompted, select SIGN IN WITH A PROVIDER.
3. Choose Xfinity.
4. You will be prompted to sign in using your Xfinity ID and Password.
5. Once you’re signed in, try to play any video.
6. If the video plays successfully, try signing in again through your TV Box.
7. If you are able to sign in through your TV Box, try to play any video. (You should be able to do so at this point.)
If these steps aren’t successful, we apologize for any inconvenience, and please know that this is not an issue with your Xfinity service, HBO is aware of the issue and is working on a permanent fix.
Thanks for your continued patience while this gets corrected. Please let us know if we can be of any other assistance in the meantime, we're here to help!
