Having issues - Upgraded to X1 dvr with 3 XiD-P small boxes

Upgraded to X1 dvr with 3 XiD-P small boxes from old style standalone dvr's (which all worked but one started having problems). The main X1 box works fine regardless of where I connect it but the XiD-P boxes will receive only basic channels and can't receive a refresh signal or be seen by customer support. Do these satellite boxes communicate via the internet? I have my own modem and router and do not see an option on the X1 main box to sign in to the wifi. Have not tried connecting via ethernet yet. Any help/info would be appreciated. Thanks

I think you have XiD DTAs and not X1 boxes. DTAs don’t show premium channels and less channels and less functionality that x1 XiD boxes. Check with customer service, either you are supposed to have them or you have the wrong ones, they’ll sort it out

Don’t put Ethernet to anything. The boxes use moca to communicate with each other. Do you happen to have an amplifier?

Can moca filters go bad? Mine is outside and has been there for several years..

I have an older amplifier that I tried but nothing changed. There is a MoCA filter on the input at the main splitter

Thanks for helping - I tried with and without the amp but still the same. I'm getting all the channels on the main box just fine. Just to make sure - those XiD-P boxes are the proper ones to work with the X1 dvr and receive HD/Premium channels?

That moca can’t pass through an older amplifier and may be the cause of your problem. If you happen to have a splitter to bypass the amp to test. It may also be rate codes because you weren’t getting all channels but the amp part needs fixed first.

How many live channels do you get? Does hbo or any other premium show up on the guide of the XiD?

No premium channels are on the guide on the XiD. I have channels 2 thru 1127 with no channels such as hbo. Customer support says they should be there but they also can't see or upate the XiD boxes from their end. Again, the main X1 is fine..

You are correct - they gave me the wrong XiD boxes. For anyone that's interested, the XiD-P dta boxes have either a white label on the back, which show basic channels only, or a black label that will work with whatever the Xfinity plan you have is. The only difference(besides the color of the label) is underneath XiD-P will be either - "xfinity.com" for the white label or "xfinity.com/x1 "for the black label. Model numbers are exactly the same. You will also get a xr15 voice remote, hdmi cable and coax cable with the black label boxes.  White label you get the xr2 remote, no cables. So, thanks for the help and hope this helps someone else.
