Gitchy Cable TV

25 year Xfinity customer here. We have been dealing with glitchy cable TV service off and on, since the new tv cable box and modem/router was pushed onto us and installed. TV service can be stable for days, then it will be glitchy for days in a row. Service will be interrupted every 15 minutes for days. The screen and sound may freeze together, or only the picture will freeze/go dark. Sometime the screen and sound will drop, and sometimes the screen will go dark, after anywhere from 10 seconds to a minute everything will come back on. Sometimes it comes back on another channel. Sometimes we get a code XRE-03090 or 3173. Sometimes we need to reboot the tv box even just to turn the TV on. We have been thru several tv boxes. Techs have been out several times and they find no issues. None of these glitchy days has corresponded to area wide service issues, as I monitor this. On the days it is glitchy, it has come to a point I need to leave home to watch my sports teams somewhere else it is so bad. We are about at the stage I can no longer tolerate Xfinity service.

Is there a way (device) to track TV service reliability in real time to log these service glitch's to help troubleshoot, analyze these events to resolve this issue?

@user_xo2c4y Thank you for bringing this intermittent cable glitch issue to our attention via Forums. I also appreciate your loyalty throughout these 25 years!

When you say you've rebooted the cable box, was that done via the Xfinity app or was that a power cycle?

Yes, by me multiple times (well over 50 maybe upwards of 100) by unplugging it almost daily and sometimes several times a day.  Also, several times a phone rep has rebooted it remotely. I cannot reboot it online in my portal because it does not recognize I have any boxes. This service is awful.
