Garbled audio

Over the past 30 days, the voices sound like they are talking underwater, it comes and goes, but is starting to get annoying.

Hello @pmell20 thank you so much for relaying your experience with audio.  Is this happening on all X1 boxes or a specific one? Does the box/boxes appear to be overly warm or overheating? Have you had an opportunity to look over our X1 Troubleshooting guides via My Account? Can you take a look over this article and let me know if any of these suggestions help?

Thanks.  I probably watch my living room tv 90% of the time, but it is happening on all tvs.

I checked your suggestion, but none of those apply.  It’s just weird how the audio can be perfect for a long time, then it sounds like I put my tv in the lake.

Thanks so much for that context and checking out the link. Audio issues can come and go, and are usually indicative of an area issue. Please follow the steps below for sending a Direct Message(Private Message) and our team will be more than happy to investigate further. 

 

To send a direct message (private message);

 

Click "Sign In" if necessary.

 

Click the "Direct Message" icon in the upper right corner or https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging

 

Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon.

 

The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there.

 

As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.

 

An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line.

 

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window.

 

Press Enter to send it.
