I have the same question. Is there a reset button on the Flex streaming device that resets the device to factory settings as though it were brand new? Specifically, is there a way to erase the Wifi password before returning the Flex device to Xfinity? Thanks.
I'm wondering the same thing. I want to wipe WiFi passwords etc from the device before I return it. I asked a rep over chat and they were like, "It can't be done." I asked to speak with a manager, and they said, "Just drop it off at a store, it'll be fine." And I replied, "No, it won't be fine." And they basically gave up and gave me an 800 number to call. I am NOT returning this device til I figure out how this can be done.
get a receipt for the return. that shows it is 'off' your active account devices and the device can not be used until it goes through recommissioning process. make yourself at ease if you with and add a letter or number or punctuation to your current wifi password.

when box is off your account no one can access anything. the rebuild process wipes the hard drive. If paranoid, change passwords.
