Exterior Box Setup - Look/Placement

My wife and I are building a house and have pre-run our service lines to make it easier for connecting once we move in. I'm curious though what the Xfinity box itself looks like - how big, how high up, and any tubes/lines running out from it...as we need to pre-drill the port to run the lines through to the exterior.

Hi there @Pigsel26. Thanks for reaching out to us via Forums!  Congratulations on building a house! That's certainly an amazing journey. The outside boxes vary by region. In this case, what you would do is just run the lines and make sure they come out of the exterior on the same side of the house as your power meters. When the house is built, and you schedule services, we would run our line from the plant, to where you ran your lines to. Let me know if this helps?

@XfinityDevinC Thank you for the response! Do the lines have to be by the power meters? We have the service lines running out to another exterior wall (for better access).

No worries there. If the power meter was on the exterior wall, then preferably the lines would go near there for grounding purposes. Or you can have the lines come out near the grounding rod which should be near an exterior wall.
