Error code XRE-06030 REMINDERS not working

Reminders not working for Movie Sphere,  Universal Movies and other channels. I tried system refresh, xfinity assistant reset my x1 box, I tried this tv, and I continue to get error code xre-06030. What is up?

Hello, @user_gb4xx7! Thank you for creating a post about this particular TV Box and error code concern. That sounds frustrating, especially after you've already tried the system refresh and box reset. The error code XRE-06030 when setting reminders seems to be a recurring issue for a number of users, specifically tied to the reminder function. Since you've done the basic troubleshooting, here are a few potential reasons and a workaround that has helped other users with this specific reminder issue:

Potential Causes for XRE-06030
- System Issue on Xfinity's End: Error codes like this often point to an internal issue with our reminder service architecture. While a previous, widespread issue with reminders was addressed in 2020, localized or new system-level bugs can always pop up, especially if it's impacting specific channels or all reminders.

- Conflict with Display Settings: Some community discussions suggest that the issue can be caused by the reminder setting conflicting with the number of TV boxes you have. For example, if you only have one TV, but the reminder is defaulted to display on "All TVs."

User-Reported Workaround
If you are setting a reminder for a specific series or program, try changing the display option for that individual reminder:

1. Press the Xfinity button on your remote.

2. Go to Saved and then Scheduled.

3. Highlight the program that you want a reminder for and press Enter.

4. Go to Reminder Options, then Modify Series.

5. Look for the setting "Display On:"

6. If it says "All TVs," use the right arrow to change it to "This TV" (even if you have multiple TVs).

7. Go up and press Confirm.

Users who have tried this reported that it resolved the issue and allowed the reminder to be set/function properly, suggesting the "Display On" setting might be the root of the XRE-06030 error in some cases.

Next Steps
Since you are still getting the error after a box reset:

- Try the Workaround: Test the "Display On: This TV" workaround on one of the channels you mentioned (Movie Sphere, Universal Movies).

- Contact Xfinity Support: If the workaround doesn't resolve the issue, let us know. Since you've already done the basic troubleshooting, we may need to check for a localized issue or file a ticket with our engineering team.
