equipment

Just had Xfinity installed couple weeks ago. Going to use the app function on the DVR box and it says I need new equipment?? There are 2 wifi boxes in the house that work fine. 2 boxes that use a cable. Why would I not have up to date equipment?

What is the model number of your dvr box? Is it the XG1v1? Maybe they just gave you old equipment. It happens.
