DVR vs. cloud recordings

The recordings made on my X-1 box DVR are good, but recordings made in the cloud are bad, with choppy fast forward and glitches. Xfinity customer service assured me they had a back office tech direct ALL my recordings to the cable box DVR, but they didn’t. Is it possible to get all recordings on my DVR instead of the cloud?

If you are on IP based cable service then they all go to the cloud. Also, certain cable boxes, like the Xi6 are all cloud DVR.

IP Only channels will also only record to the cloud.

What box do you have ?

I only know it’s an X1 4K box, but not an Xi6 because most recordings are on the cable box, not the cloud, and only the cloud recordings are bad. In trying to fix the problem, one of the home visit techs switched me to all IP, and then ALL of the recordings were bad, so second tech home visit switched me back to cable box. The crazy thing is, I record a lot of sports. All college basketball and football recordings are on the cable box DVR, and ALL professional football and basketball recordings are on the cloud. I want all to be on the cable box.
