DVR times cutting off end of recordings

We are having the same problem everyone else is “all of the sudden!” We never see the end of any recording and if we watch on demand to see the ending…we have to watch the entire show!!!! This is ridiculous.  Please fix the problem. We pay way too much money to have this continue.

We have always had to pad our recordings both in front and at the end for Comcast for 15 years in order to not miss things. Ever since they went fully digital.

the networks control the guide info and the show length. if you set your DVR options to auto pad then the scheduler will add minutes to front and back of a program as long as that padding won't cause a tuner to not be available to record the next show(s).

@Rustyben even with auto pad, it’s cutting off early.

I agree, it’s frustrating to watch a movie for two hours only to have the last few minutes cut off. Happened on CBS and other channels.

Hello @geo341 I have had the same thing happen to me numerous times. I hate it the most when it happens when recording a game. I have missed the last few minutes of a game several times. It usually happens when the previous game goes into overtime. It is a network issue and not anything to do with the equipment.

I no longer work for Comcast.
