DVR saved?
I'm being asked to upgrade my equipment for 4K stuff. I only need it for one TV, which is my main cable box in my living room because that's the only 4K TV, and I do a TON of recording shows, specials, and movies, many of which I cannot afford to lose because they were either final shows, new show beginnings, and one that's the history of Philadelphia, which I need for help with my family history. I have about 192 recordings, and 62% full.
How can I guarantee that I don't lose these during that switch over? I will be VERY upset if that happens... I mean it's bad enough I'm paying extra for an entertainment package that is supposed to include the NFL Network and NFL RedZone and those two are not available... So imagine if I lost my DVR stuff on top of it.... I would definitely be spitting fire.
Reassurance that this won't happen, please?

Hello @Rushfan003, thank you for taking the time to leave a post. I completely understand why you’re concerned; those recordings clearly mean a lot to you, and I’d feel the same way if I had that many important shows saved. Losing them, especially ones that can’t be replaced, would be incredibly frustrating. Here’s how the swap works: If you’re exchanging one X1 TV Box for another X1 TV Box, you won’t need to reschedule your future recordings. However, any recordings that aren’t saved to the cloud will be lost. You can check what’s stored in the cloud by opening the Xfinity Stream app and selecting Recordings. Anything you see there will be available on your new box.
If you’re upgrading from a legacy TV box to a newer X1 TV Box, all recordings will be lost, and you’ll need to set up your recordings again on the new equipment. I know how important those saved shows are, so it’s definitely worth double-checking what’s in the cloud before making any changes.
